Preparations to re-open after COVID-19

When Fraoch Lodge re-opens after COVID-19 lockdown, later in 2020 there will be some changes you’ll notice. Unfortunately we can’t be as flexible for small groups/couples/individuals as we have been in the past.

For the remainder of 2020, to help control the spread of COVID-19 we have:

  • installed hand sanitiser stations at the entrance to the house and entrance to the annex
  • installed an outside hand wash basin on our new covered decking at the rear entrance
  • We will not be offering individual room bookings for the time being.
  • Pre-booking only
  • Contactless payment

 

We have 2 options available to book independently or together:

OPTION 1:

The annex includes:

  • sleeps 4/5
  • 1 double room with family bathroom
  • 1 twin/triple en suite
  • 1 breakfast room
  • Free cold breakfast buffet
  • Access to self-catering kitchen and drying room
  • covered outside eating area
  • free wifi

Min booking: 3 nights

Bookings available: 3 or 4 nights starting Friday, week long bookings starting Friday or Saturday

3 nights: £450

4 nights: £480

7 nights: £700

 

OPTION 2:

The main house rooms include:

  • Sleeps 5/6
  • 1 twin en suite
  • 1 triple en suite
  • Dining room
  • Living room with log burning stove
  • Light breakfast buffet
  • Optional Dinner buffet cooked to order (self-service)
  • No self-catering
  • Access to drying room
  • Large garden with trampoline
  • free wifi
  • no cooking facilities
  • Check in via What’s App/Messenger

Min booking: 3 nights

Bookings available: 3 or 4 nights starting Friday, week long bookings starting Friday or Saturday

3 nights: £600, including free breakfast buffet: optional self-service dinner prepared to order – £20 per person

4 nights: £700, including free breakfast buffet: optional self-service dinner prepared to order – £20 per person

7 nights: £1050 including free breakfast buffet: optional self-service dinner prepared to order – £20 per person

  • Owners available on site (socially distanced) to provide help and advice. You can speak to us in person or by making a wifi call on WhatsApp or Messenger.

Like many homes that belong to outdoors fans, we are geared up to cater for walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and families who are keen to enjoy an outdoors adventure or two. Let us help you to organise a fantastic guided or self-guided activity each day, or you can ask us for our recommendations for the best places to walk or cycle. We know so many amazing places in the Cairngorms National Park – and right on our doorstep. We’re keen for as many guests as possible to join our walking and cycling tours and courses, giving them the best value for money for an active Scottish Highlands break or holiday.

We invite guests into our home, Fraoch Lodge, as if it is their own. All guests are offered a free continental breakfast consisting of home baked bread, homemade jams, cereals, porridge, coffee and tea, or you can upgrade to a hot breakfast.

We also provide packed lunches for day trekkers, and 2-course dinner made with locally produce and home grown ingredients from our vegetable, fruit and herb garden.

Cake O’Clock – although on this day it was biscuits!

This means you can relax in our sitting room, enjoy fresh, home-cooked meals at our dining table and use a range of home-from-home facilities (we have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee for guests to share).

Special desserts

Plenty of imaginative cake options at Fraoch Lodge. This was delicious and will appear on the menu again.

We also offer guided outdoor activities, from walking to family active, that always return to Fraoch Lodge so there is no need to worry about luggage, transport and meals while on holiday with us.
