Braemar Winter Munros
We have run this itinerary for a group before. It is not currently scheduled in our programme for 2023. Included:
- 7 Nights accommodation in your private room at The Coyles, Ballater, or similar accommodation
- All meals from the evening meal on the day of arrival through to breakfast on the morning of our departure.
- 5 days guiding
- Transport between accommodation and the beginning of the walk
- Transfers to Aviemore Stn/Inverness Airport

Day 1: Arrive on Friday (pick ups Aviemore Stn/Inverness Airport)
Day 2: WS refresher, Creag Leacach & Glas Maol. 10km (6.3 mi) with 710m of ascent. Approx 4:30 walking time* excluding breaks, photo stops, etc
Day 3: Lochnagar 19km (11.8 mi) with 950m of ascent.
Approx 7:25 walking time*
Day 4: The Cairnwell, Carn a Gheoidh & Carn Aosda, 13.5 km (8.4 mi) with 850m of ascent. 5:40 walking time*
Day 5: Day Off
Day 6: Beinn Bhreac, 22km (13.5 mi) with 850m of ascent. 7:30 approximate walking time*
Day 7: An Socach, 17km (10.7 mi) with 660m of ascent. 7:31 approximate walking time*
Day 8: Depart Fri
Guests are expected to bring their own personal winter equipment (winter boots, crampons and ice axe). If you don’t have these, we can arrange hire of equipment which can be added to your booking.
