£890.00

Explode into summer with this Munro bagging itinerary. All Munros listed are accessible from your home base of Fraoch Lodge. Crowds will not be a feature of this trip. We’re avoiding all the popular peaks and choosing to go remote.

This trip has been designed around some of our “frequent flier” guests, but they are very friendly and would welcome any additional hikers who’d like to join the craic. These will all be new Munro walks to these particular hikers. We can do this for any other group/family of walkers, so long as the selection of Munros is accessible from Fraoch Lodge or if you are prepared to use our luxury Tentipi as your base.

Some of the Munros are quite inaccessible and by nature self-isolating.

There are additional safety measures in place for the duration of this trip in accordance with our COVID-19 risk assessment.

  • Pre-payment required.
  • Guests must bring face coverings with them for use inside the Lodge and our minibus.
  • Hand sanitiser will be supplied in the vehicle and it will be steam cleaned between groups. We recommend that you try to use the same seat throughout your stay.

Highlights:

  • 7 nights accommodation at Fraoch Lodge
  • private room per person/household
  • all meals at the Lodge

  • private pick up from Aviemore station, if required

Arr. Sat 8th Aug

Sun 9th: Beinn Udlamain & Sgairneach Mhor (Drumochter)
Relatively easy start to the week
Mon 10th: Sgurr Choinnich Mor & Stob Coire an Laoigh (Grey Corries) – there is a “bad step” on SCM so should provide us with some scrambling interest. Very fine ridge walking with Ben Nevis as the backdrop.
Tue 11th: Beinn Mheadhoin (Cairngorms) – a challenging and very dramatic approach as we drop into the head of the Loch A’an Basin – on of the massif’s finest features. High Cairngorm splendour!
Wed 12th: Day Off
Thu 13th: Ben Alder & Beinn Bheoil (Drumochter – cycle in) – fast and efficient cycle in past a “Disney World” estate lodge. A wild and remote setting, the ascent is via a fine ridge known as the Long Leachas. It provides some exhilarating scrambling to the summit plateau. A lovely horseshoe walk taking in the second munro  before our return to the bikes and the cycle out.
Fri 14th: Carn a’ Chlamain (Atholl – cycle in) A munro sitting high above the great defile of Glen Tilt. A relative straight forward hill day but with spectacular views across to the dominant Beinn a’ Ghlo group.
